Doo.Ri 2012 Resort

Doo.Ri 2012 Resort collection is using much pastel colour to safe colour like black and white.
What is more interesting in her collection is the uses of drapes and pretty much portrays the relax mood.
The choice of fabric is 'plainly interesting'. With the softness it creates the drapes that captured the wearer shape.

What I love: The textile on the dress that looks a bit like crepes, breaking the plain look into something interesting.

However, the collection is not cohesive enough in term of colour. On the last pictures shown a red colour pop up from those neutral colours.

CFDA Fashion Awards

Again, Marc Jacobs was honoured a Geoffery Beene Lifetime Achievement Award by Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) which was held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. This 48-year-old designer really deserved the award. He proved his originality through his collections.


Proenza Schouler's Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez received prize for Womenswear Designer of the Year and Michael Bastian for Menswear Designer of the Year.

Fashion Icon Award was given to Lady Gaga. As you can see, she has an unique style in her on way.

Prabal Gurung won the Swarovski Award for Womenswear although Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen whose fashion line, The Row was also nominated.

Anyway, Swarovski hosts 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards for the tenth year in a row.
